iBwave Signs
Global Agreement with Industry Leading In-Building Equipment Vendor
LGC Wireless
RF-vu becomes critical tool in in-building market strategy
Las Vegas, NV June 11, 2007 – iBwave, the industry-leading
provider of in-building wireless planning and design software,
is pleased to announce its expanded relationship with LGC Wireless,
the leader in specialized wireless coverage and capacity solutions.
In a signed global license agreement, LGC Wireless USA joins its
International counterpart, a long-time user of iBwave’s in-building
software RF-vu, by standardizing all in-building wireless designs
using one software tool. With the agreement, LGC engineers worldwide
will use the same RF-vu file format and new propagation module
for all designs with the ability to share them more efficiently
and to speed time-to-market. Speed and efficiency are critical
success factors in the competitive in-building environment today.
Industry drivers like the ongoing demand for increased coverage,
newly auctioned spectrum and the rise in WiMax rollouts keep vendors
looking for ways to streamline processes as business grows. RF-vu
currently supports LGC’s InterReach family of Distributed
Antenna Systems (DAS) products, including Unison and Fusion, which
offer industry-leading performance for superior in-building wireless
coverage.
Mario Bouchard, iBwave President, states, “We are excited
to work with LGC Wireless globally and value their feedback as
our software evolves with the in-building market. Such an agreement
validates our goal in providing a solution complete with planning,
design, prediction, provisioning and equipment selection that allows
our customers to focus on their core competencies while iBwave
delivers productivity tools.”
LGC Wireless’ InterReach® Unison and InterReach Fusion® systems
provide strong and pervasive in-building cellular coverage for
buildings of all sizes. Featuring a unique active architecture
that uses distributed hubs and low-cost standard cabling to deliver
uniformly high performance at every remote antenna with real-time,
end-to-end monitoring and management, Unison and Fusion systems
support any voice or data service on any carrier frequency. LGC’s
in-building wireless systems enable reliable wireless services
in the world’s major airports, subways, and commercial buildings.
LGC Wireless President and CEO Ian Sugarbroad adds, “iBwave’s
RF-vu software has been an important component of our growth, so
the decision to extend our use of RF-vu on a global basis was not
difficult. We have seen results and accuracy increase throughout
many project designs and recognize the importance of the software
in our operations.”
LGC will add over twenty new RF-vu users in the US with more planned
abroad in the near future.
