LGC Wireless Announces Support for the WiMAX Forum
SAN JOSE, CA, August 20, 2007—LGC Wireless, the leader in
specialized wireless coverage and capacity solutions, today
announced that it has joined the WiMAX Forum®, an industry-led
non-profit organization committed to promoting and certifying
interoperable WiMAX™ products.
The WiMAX Forum is striving to create economies of scale made
possible by standards-based, interoperable products that drive price
and performance levels not achievable by proprietary approaches.
WiMAX technology is designed to help service providers across global
markets deliver economical broadband data, voice and video services
to both residential and business customers.
“The WiMAX Forum stimulates the development of new products based on
the IEEE 802.16 and ETSI HiperMAN standards, and we look forward to
future certification of forthcoming products based on those
