MetroReach

The MetroReach family addresses these challenges by distributing signals over fiber from a central basestation hub to multiple remote sites. MetroReach products from LGC Wireless provide an innovative economical alternative to today's expensive and difficult-to-deploy solutions.

MetroReach Focus

LGC Wireless's novel network extender adds capacity and coverage for a minimal cost. The compact system eliminates the need for a basestation and T1/E1 line by using optical broadband technology to combine radio resources and simulcast selected channels to designated end points. The system consists of a main hub assembly located with one or more basestations that connects via single-mode fiber to a remote hub assembly up to 9.3 miles (15 kilometers) away.

Features of MetroReach Focus include:

  • Optical wireless networking expansion for 2G, 2.5G, and 3G networks, supporting broadband frequencies from 500 MHz through 2.2 GHz MHz
  • Maximized utilization of limited radio channels
  • Single and multi-operator solutions
  • Support for all major current and emerging wireless frequency bands and protocols worldwide
  • Reduced costs for site acquisition
  • Scalable design and flexible implementation
  • Dependable, unobtrusive components for easy installation and long-term reliability

The combined MetroReach Focus features extend coverage and help prevent traffic overloads without the usual costs associated with adding new basestation sites.

The InterReach/802.11 combination delivers a tangible cost benefit while keeping you on top of today's needs and ready for tomorrow's.

GSM Networks

Cost-effective GSM network solutions enable quick deployment to support basic wireline and limited mobility services and can be seamlessly upgraded to standard mobile networks. Also known as wireless local loop (WLL) solutions, LGC Wireless' voice and data access systems mirror the features of fixed-line networks and move one step beyond typical WLL offerings by adding local switching. Since a significant portion of voice and data access traffic is local, LGC Wireless' solutions eliminate the need to backhaul local calls, reducing network costs while paving the way to reduced-cost tariff offerings.

LGC Wireless' solutions provide coverage for subscribers at the periphery of existing networks and beyond, allowing providers to improve coverage quality and increase their customer base.

LGC Wireless's GSM-based solutions are available in the UltraWAVE product line.
